“From a single test to commercial setup.”

“I started without knowing anything about mushrooms. With the help of this program I tested my first batch and then eventually I set up my grow room. The course gave me exact technical parameters I needed to design my indoor cultivation space. Instructions on layout, air circulation, and rack spacing saved me a lot in trial-and-error mistakes.”

What you will learn

Making compost

The foundation of every successful harvest. You’ll learn how to prepare the perfect substrate from scratch — the exact mix and process that determines how much your mushrooms grow and how fast.

Growing crops on a farm

The hands-on growing phase. You’ll learn how to set up and manage an indoor mushroom farm — controlling the environment, managing your crops, and maximizing your yield at every stage.

No Experience, No Problem! Many of Our Students Started Just Like You, and so Can You!

Course contents

Modules 1-5

Everything starts with the substrate. These modules walk you through preparing the perfect growing environment from scratch — the foundation that determines the size and quality of every harvest you’ll ever produce.

Modules 6-10

This is where the growing begins. These modules cover the complete indoor farming process — from setting up your space to managing your crops through every stage until harvest.

Modules 10-12

Organizing mushroom production, selling mushrooms, troubleshooting as well as different other aspects are discussed here. Everything you need to know beyond growing.

Content is presented in both U.S. and International System of Units (metric) units for global accessibility. You chose whichever version of the program is best for you

Calculating Compost Moisture Before You Build

Before forming your first compost heap, there’s one critical calculation that determines whether your pile needs water — and how much. Skip this step and your substrate starts wrong before it even begins.

In this lesson you’ll learn how to calculate the exact moisture content of your raw materials before mixing, using a simple formula that works for any batch size. We walk through a real example using 15 bales of straw and 90kg of chicken manure, showing you step by step how to reach the optimal 76% moisture level your mushrooms need to thrive.

Designing Your Farm Passages for Maximum Efficiency

In this lesson you’ll learn the exact minimum and optimal passage widths for any mushroom farm, plus a simple formula that calculates the correct central passage width based on your ceiling height and ventilation duct size. We also cover what to do when your room doesn’t allow for the ideal dimensions — including a practical DIY nozzle solution using nothing more than plastic cups that redirects airflow and prevents mushroom drying.

What our students say

— Alec R. (Sydney, Australia)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“I never thought I could grow my own mushrooms. But I followed the steps, prepped my first batch of bags, and ended up with more than I could eat. Now I sell the surplus.”

— Maria K. (Warsaw, Poland)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“We grow on a small outdoor plot and my son insists on being part of every harvest. This one was almost bigger than him. This training taught us how to get consistent results like this season after season.”

 — Chris T. (Toronto, Canada)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Came for the mushrooms, stayed for the process. The program is genuinely enjoyable to follow — clear, practical, and it actually works. This little one was a bonus.”

Meet your instructor

My name is Michael. Over the past 7 years I have consulted with 50+ mushroom farms across 12 countries, helping them build and scale their operations. Some of my students have gone on to establish farms producing 5 tons of mushrooms per month.
After years of working exclusively with established farms, We at Harvest Labs decided to create this program for beginners — taking the exact same knowledge and techniques I use with commercial operations and making them accessible to anyone starting from zero.
If you follow the process, it works. I’ve seen it happen across 12 countries.

– Robyn L. (Munich, Germany)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“I started this as a hobby project and my daughter completely took over the harvesting. She checks on the grow room every morning before school. Completely exceeded my expectations.”

– Inder B. (Pune, India)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“703 grams. Single mushroom. I couldn’t believe it myself when I put it on the scale. The substrate preparation method in this course makes all the difference.”

– Tranh V. (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“I built my first grow room in a small garage with low ceilings and limited space. The course taught me how to work with what I had. That room produced more than I expected.”

– Ragai M. (Dubai, UAE)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“I started with one grow cycle to test the process. Six crates later I was selling to local restaurants. .I never expected to be producing this much from a single cycle.”

– Sorin T. (Bucharest, Romania)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“What struck me most was how systematically the course is laid out. It mirrors how a real commercial operation thinks — from environment control to yield optimization. Exactly what I needed to level up.”

– Chongha P. (Seoul, South Korea)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“I had no farming background whatsoever. Just an empty room and this program. What you see in that photo is my third cycle. The substrate module alone changed everything.”

In this program, you’ll learn to grow white button mushrooms. Although compost making process for white mushrooms is similar to Cremini and Portobello species, there are some differences in the growing techniques on the farm .

No prior experience is necessary. Our course is designed to guide beginners step-by-step through the cultivation process, from preparation to harvesting, ensuring you gain the knowledge needed to succeed.

First thing you need to ensure is mushroom mycelium. You can either buy it or learn preparing yourself. We go through the process of securing mycelium in the program. The next thing is a black sphagnum peat. It is a specific peat type that has got a high water retaining capacity. Other types of soil can still be used but black sphagnum peat provides with the best results. Finally you will need straw, some nitrogen sources like soy, manure ….etc. These are the main production components. Other things are also required but their significance is lower than the one of the above mentioned materials.

To get things started a space the size of a simple backyard is needed to prepare the substrate, and a small room is required to grow the mushrooms indoors

Growing at home could be a little messy. But if you have a garage or a shed, you can try placing a tent inside which will facilitate the growing process.

It can take anywhere from 5-6 weeks to see the first signs of growth. Full harvests are typically ready in 6 to 8 weeks. These timeframes do not include substrate preparation though.

It may take 5-25 hours/week to run a small farm when just starting out. This depends on the scale of the output.

There is a 7 day refund available. If for some reason you think that the course does not meet your requirements, send us a message and we will issue a full refund.
